Accordion Control
The Accordion control is very handy at encapsulating text and other elements into a relatively small space. Accordion controls are very flexible and can be used in numerous applications. The fact that it can be sized to accomidate a wide variety of web page spaces makes it an ideal user interface component.
The panels, their contents and colors can be changed to suit the user interface color scheme, as can the fonts, their sizes, styles and colors. By creating an interesting, intuitive and easy to navigate user interface, your visitors will be engaged and will spend more time on your website.
While the Accordion control is only one of many available user interface components, it is one of the more flexible and certainly powerful controls. The applications for it are only limited by your imagination.
One of the things the Accordion control excels at is its capability to embed other controls (form elements, images, text elements, etc.) within it. This feature alone puts it near the top of the list of attractive user interface components and allows it to be used on a wide assortment of websites.
When all other controls and user interface components are considered, the Accordion should be either at or near the top of your list.

Here is a demonstration of embedding an Elevator control within an Accordion control. This technique demonstrates the flexibility and compatibility of these controls, in that they coexist and work together quite well.

An important user interface design consideration; the more engaging it is, the more your visitors will interact with it. The more they interact with your site, the more time they will spend with your content, and THAT is what sells your product or service.
