Forms & Validation

Forms are an excellent means of collecting information from your site visitors. Whether for the purpose of creating a mailing list for a news letter or to respond to questions (about products or services), a form provides the mechanism to let your visitors know that you care.

When you ask for specific information from your visitors, validating the information you collect is important. For example, you should always check an email address for correct formatting or verify that a phone number contains only numbers. In terms of responding to inquires, validating the information your visitors provide is critical.

To the right is an example of a form with specific validation rules. Some fields are optional while others are required. Click the 'Submit' button to see which fields are required. Click the 'Clear' button to see the normal state. The result of clicking the 'Submit' button would naturally send you an email.

This is just a demonstration and no email will be sent. So, use any email address you like. We are NOT collecting email addresses, so feel free to make one up, for testing purposes.
